Kusadasi, Turkey
Kusadasi is a small resort town of 65,000. The port provides access to seaside resorts and the ancient town of Ephesus. One of our cruise mates has booked a tour of Ephesus, the Terrace Houses and the supposed last home of the virgin Mary.
The tour is 1/2 day includes lunch and a visit to a rug factory where they will press us to purchase rugs that may or may not be hand made and may or may not be Turkish - no thanks - and then I imagine we will wander a bit in the local market before reboarding the ship. I would like to try to find a turkish coffee pot and I hear there are rows and rows of hookahs for us to laugh over.
